About Scott

Scott Lovely is currently a Men’s Assistant Basketball Coach at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, AZ. Prior to this, Coach Lovely was the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at Westwind Prep International Post Graduate program, Highland High School and Arcadia High School. When he left coaching at Arcadia High School, he was the school’s highest win percentage coach, recording an impressive 63% win average with two East Sky Region Championships in three years. During that time, Coach Lovely was named the 2006 East Sky Region Coach of the Year. After his second consecutive Region title, he was named as the 2007 Arizona Republic’s Northeast Valley Coach of the Year. In a 16 year career, Coach Lovely has compiled an overall record of 256 wins and 192 losses with a .571 career win percentage.

Coach Lovely has worked for, and had his career influenced by, coaches the likes of Coach John Wooden, Coach Pat Riley, Coach Jim Harrick and California Hall of Fame Coaches Ken Bell and John Mayberry.

Coach Lovely teaches Technology and Business classes at Arcadia High School, serves as a Business Adjunct Instructor at Scottsdale Community College and is a nationally recognized motivational speaker on the subjects of Generational Communication and Success Principles.
